Logan University’s Board of Trustees has announced that Garrett Thompson, DC, PhD, will be the eighth president of the University. The announcement of the new president concludes a nationwide search that began in February of 2024 upon the news of the upcoming retirement of Clay McDonald, DC, MBA, JD. Dr. Thompson currently serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs and chief academic officer at Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. Dominque Roberts, former nuclear weapons technician for the United States Air Force, realized their true calling after attending one of many appointments with the Veterans Affairs (VA) office. Dominique wanted to create custom, electronically aided, active prosthetics for other disabled veterans. “I aim to create the prosthetics to be suited to people’s specific needs and match their lifestyles,” explained Dominique. “This isn’t necessarily a niche the VA is suited, or designed, to meet.” Dominique plans to achieve this goal by attending Logan University to earn their Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree.
